About the Role:
The Director of Aviation for Kinetica Partners is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing all aviation-related operations that support the company’s business activities.
The Director of Aviation plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of all aircraft within the organization. This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations, and implementing best practices for aircraft upkeep.
The Director will lead a team of skilled technicians and helicopter pilots, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards of performance and safety. Additionally, this role involves strategic planning for maintenance schedules and resource allocation to minimize downtime and optimize operational efficiency.
Ultimately, the Director of Aviation will contribute to the overall success of the company’s mission by ensuring that all aircraft are maintained to the highest standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in aviation maintenance or a related field. • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification. • Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation maintenance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in aviation management or a related field. • Experience with safety management systems and quality assurance programs. • Familiarity with aviation maintenance software and tracking systems. Responsibilities: • Oversee daily maintenance operations and ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company policies. • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure timely inspections and repairs of aircraft. • Lead and mentor a team of aviation maintenance technicians and helicopter pilots, providing training and support as needed. • Manage inventory and procurement of maintenance supplies and equipment to ensure operational readiness. • Conduct regular audits and assessments of maintenance practices to identify areas for improvement. • Liaise with executive leadership, regulatory agencies, and other departments – operations, safety, & environmental.

The required skills for this position include strong leadership and communication skills, which are essential for managing a diverse team of aviation technicians and helicopter pilots. Technical expertise in aviation maintenance is crucial, as it allows the Director to make informed decisions regarding repairs and inspections. Problem-solving skills are utilized daily to address maintenance challenges and ensure aircraft safety.
Additionally, organizational skills are necessary for developing maintenance schedules and managing resources effectively. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of safety management systems, enhance the Director’s ability to implement best practices and improve overall operational efficiency.
