Responsible to the Director of Maintenance and reporting to the Lead Engineer(s), the Avionics Technician is responsible for the maintenance and advancement of Alpine’s avionics department and for ensuring Alpine’s compliance with all applicable Transport Canada regulations.
The ideal candidate for the Avionics Technician position will have:
- Valid Transport Canada AME Licence with an E-Rating;
- Valid class 5 driver’s license minimum with an acceptable driver’s abstract;
- Solid knowledge of Canadian Air Regulations;
- Strong troubleshooting , time management skills and organizational skills;
- Ability to multitask, handle changing priorities under pressure with limited supervision;
- Working in a safety-oriented atmosphere with the ability to make sound and safe decisions while following documented policies and procedures;
- Commitment to teamwork both internally and with external stakeholders;
- A mature approach to work by taking ownership and responsibility if stressful situations should arise;
- Excellent oral/written communication skills; and
- Good computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office software suite.
A Transport Canada M1 or M2 license and a Bell 206, 407, 212, and AS350 endorsements will be considered an asset.
