CHC Helicopter is a leader in the provision of helicopter support to the offshore energy market, search & rescue, and government departments, as well as organizations requiring helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul services through its Heli-One division.

The Contract Manager is responsible for the client contract within the region and will report to the Head of CHC Australia. The Contract Manager will work independently with both internal and external stakeholders in the role and will co-ordinate contract support with Commercial Managers and the Head of CHC Australia. Additionally, the Contract Manager will be expected to work closely with the Business Unit Leaders to provide support as required.

Key Responsibilities

This role will be accountable for protecting and expanding CHC’s market position for the client and for developing and executing a strategy to enhance our customers’ experience with CHC, compliant with customer’s expectations, contract and in line with CHC’s strategy.

Your duties will include:

A visible leader of all global and regional initiatives in relation to Safety, business KPI’s, people, finance, and a relentless advocate of integrity at all levels.
A visible safety champion who will challenge unsafe acts and pursue improvements in safety culture and behaviour.
Develop highly effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders whether they are internal (at a global, regional and in country level and particularly with the regional management team and employees) and externally (regulators, customers, and suppliers).
Act as “problem solver” for any operational issues and communicate with the client(s) regularly.
Attend Customer meetings (Biannual and monthly, Performance Meetings), as the Representative dealing with resultant issues.
Liaise with Finance Department to ensure contracts are invoiced accordingly and milestones (escalations, terminations, extensions) are addressed in a timely manner.
Disseminate relevant contract information to the various departments (including but not limited to contract awards, contract amendments, contract escalations etc.).
Respond to Corporate requests for updates on contracts/amendments.
Communicate effectively with all levels of internal/external stakeholders regarding tenders, contracts, and current negotiations.
Regional travel may be required.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

The ideal candidate should process:

Extensive experience and knowledge of rotary wing operations.
Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to effectively communicate and negotiate with colleagues and partners.
Proven experience in building long-term, strategic working relationships with business partners.
A demonstrated personal drive with the ability to think strategically and deliver practical solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate ideas to both a technical and non-technical audience.
A desire to provide creative solutions to operational aviation problems.
The ability to lead and direct multiple clients and projects simultaneously and manage multiple priorities.
Superior customer relationship management skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple demands, in a high volume, rapidly changing environment.
High level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office, intranet platforms and other communications tools.

Desirable

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Economics.
Hazard identification and risk management.
