The offshore/HHO all-weather commander performs helicopter flights to transport:
- technicians to wind turbines; or
- ship pilots to ships off the coast of Belgium and the Netherlands; or
- offshore workers to and from an offshore location.
Additionally we do require ad hoc onshore/offshore operations (HOFO/VIP).
We want to expand our pool of reserve commanders so that we can respond quickly to new assignments with the right people. To this end, we would like to arrange an initial interview with candidates who already possess the necessary technical skills.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable Belgian, Dutch, and international aviation legislation, as well as established aviation practices and procedures;
- Conduct all flight operations in accordance with NHV Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);
- Ensure the safe and efficient execution of flights, including route planning, fuel management, navigation, and terrain awareness;
- Take overall responsibility for the safety and security of passengers, crew, and cargo throughout all phases of flight operations;
- Effectively manage rest periods to remain fit and prepared for flight duty at all times during assigned operations;
- Deliver a professional and service-oriented experience, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact confidently and positively with passengers.
- You lead by example and promote a team spirit amongst colleagues. You show respect for the local content, culture and environment and adapt accordingly.
For this kind of work, you need to demonstrate flexibility and the ability to adjust to changes. You maintain high levels of conduct and personal discipline as an ambassador for NHV.
💼Skills & Experience
Technical requirements:
- EASA CPL(H) LicenseÂ
- EASA Class 1 MedicalÂ
- EASA IFR (H)MEÂ
- ATPL(H) theory ánd MCC certificate Â
- H145 type rating preferred
Total minimum expected flight hours:
- 1000 hours pilot in command of helicopters; or 1000 hours as co-pilot in HHO operations of which 200 hours is as pilot-in-command under supervision;Â
- At least 200 hours of recent and relevant HHO experience on helicopters.
Highly desirable experience as a commander:
- offshore HHO to WTG's
- offshore HHO to vessels (DAY/NIGHT)
Languages:
- English Proficiency Level 4Â
- Dutch speaking/understanding is a plus
Other:
- Good ICT-knowledge (specific aviation software & administrative programs)Â Â
- Able to take initiative, reliable, accurate, and easy in knowledge sharing with others
