Are you an experienced AW139 Captain ready to operate in a professional offshore environment?
At our Den Helder base, you will perform scheduled shuttle flights supporting offshore Oil & Gas operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety, efficiency and customer service. You will operate in a highly structured and safety-driven environment where professionalism and teamwork are essential.
Please note:Â Due to operational requirements, candidates must reside within reasonable commuting distance of the Den Helder base.
Your Role
As an AW139 Captain, you are responsible for executing flights in the safest and most cost-effective manner, in full compliance with aviation regulations, company procedures and operational standards.
You report to the Chief Pilot and play a key role in representing the company towards our offshore clients.
What Youâll Be Doing
Flight Preparation & Execution
- Perform full technical preparation of flights (route planning, fuel calculations, aircraft inspection)
- Execute flights in accordance with SOPs, limitations and performance requirements
- Ensure all aircraft safety systems are fully operational
- Complete accurate pre- and post-flight administration
- Report any incidents, defects or irregularities
Compliance & Professional Standards
- Maintain full familiarity with national and international aviation legislation
- Operate in accordance with the Operations Manual, FOM, FOIs and company procedures
- Respect company policies including Safety, Quality and Drugs & Alcohol policies
- Maintain high standards of crew discipline, conduct and personal appearance
Offshore & Team Responsibilities
- Support offshore Oil & Gas operations as assigned by the Chief Pilot
- Remain flexible for operational needs
- Demonstrate strong customer service awareness
- Lead by example and promote team spirit
- Adapt to local culture, environment and client needs

Qualifications
- EASA ATPL(H)Â License -Â mandatory
- UK ATPL(H) License -Â desirable
- EASA Class 1 Medical - mandatory
- UK CAA Class 1 Medical â desirable
- Type Rating AW139
- English Proficiency Level 4
Total expected flight hours
- 3000 total hours helicopter (but may be reduced by 1000 hours when total hours in similar aircraft complexity exceeds 1000 hours)
- 1500 total hours in command on helicopters (may include PICUS and up to 10% in a flight simulator)
- 1200 total hours in command multi-engine on helicopters (may include PICUS and up to 10% in a flight simulator)
- 500 hours similar complexity helicopter (may include up to 10% in a flight simulator)
- 100 hours in command on AW139
Competencies
- Good ICT-knowledge (specific aviation software & administrative programs)
- Knows & plays by the procedures & processes (operational, quality, safety...) installed by the company
- Flexible (e.g. for double crewing, standby storm duties ...), a team player, result driven and customer focused
