Job summary
NHV in Pistoolhaven performs helicopter flights to transport ship pilots to ships off the coast of the Netherlands and Belgium.
The Helicopter Hoist Operator is responsible for the execution of the hoist operations mainly in offshore operations. This position works in a team of HHO, engineers and pilots and reports to the Base Manager.
Responsibilities & areas
- Coordinate the passenger- and aircraft handling procedures before and after flights.
- Assist with the technical preparation of flights.
- Carrying out HHO flight duties, in accordance with NHV's procedures related to the allocated helicopter type.
- Know the NHV procedures and the Flight Operations Manual.
- Leading by example and promoting a team spirit amongst colleagues.
- Respecting the code of conduct and overall behavior towards the whole NHV team, as well as respecting the Drugs & Alcohol policy.
- Respecting the local content, culture and environment and adapt accordingly.
Skills & Experience
- Candidates who are helicopter technician and have experience with helicopter hoisting operations will be chosen first
- Minimum 2 years of job experience in flexible working conditions
- Medical class 2
- ICT literate
- Languages: English ICAO Level 4, Dutch
- Knows & operates by the procedures and processes (operational, quality, safety …) installed by the company
- Good communicator: debriefing to pilots, flight crew and engineers, handover of work from/to previous/next shift
- Able to work independently in a less controlled environment
- Able to take initiative to improve work and complete tasks within the appropriate time frame;
