Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and professional Pilot-in-Command for an Agusta A109S Grand helicopter. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft for corporate/VIP transport, EMS, charter operations. The pilot will be accountable for all aspects of flight planning, execution, and safety in compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
Responsibilities
Conduct safe and efficient flight operations of the Agusta A109S Grand, adhering strictly to all flight manuals and regulatory requirements.
Perform comprehensive pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections and procedures.
Plan flight routes, review weather conditions, and perform all necessary calculations for weight, balance, and fuel.
Maintain clear communication with air traffic control (ATC) and ground crew.
Operate the aircraft in a single-pilot or dual-pilot environment, depending on the mission and conditions.
Ensure the comfort and safety of all passengers.
Complete all necessary flight logs, reports, and administrative duties with accuracy.
Work collaboratively with maintenance personnel to ensure the aircraft is in peak condition.
Maintain a high level of situational awareness and exercise sound decision-making, especially during high-pressure situations.
For corporate roles, provide exceptional customer service and represent the client or company professionally.
Licenses and Ratings:
Commercial Helicopter Pilot License (CHPL): A valid and current CHPL from the relevant aviation authority is mandatory.
Type Rating: A current and valid type rating for the Agusta A109 series is essential.
Instrument Rating: An instrument rating (IR) is highly preferred and may be required for certain operations under instrument flight rules (IFR).
Radio Telephony Operator's License (RTR): A current RTR is required for all communication.
Flight Experience:
Total Flight Hours: A high level of total flight experience is expected, often exceeding 1,500–2,000 flight hours, with a significant amount of Pilot-in-Command (PIC) time.
Type-Specific Experience: Extensive experience on the Agusta A109 series is crucial, with a minimum of 500 hours on type frequently requested.
Medical and Background:
Medical Certificate: A valid Class I Medical Certificate, as mandated by aviation regulations, must be held.
Clean Record: A demonstrably clean safety record, free of accidents or incidents.
Background Check: The successful candidate must pass a comprehensive background check and possess the necessary security clearances.
Desired skills and attributes
Exceptional flying skills and a deep understanding of helicopter aerodynamics.
Advanced technical knowledge of the Agusta A109S Grand's systems, including its PW207C engines and avionics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional and flexible, with the ability to relocate and fly internationally on short notice.
Experience in specific operational areas (e.g., VIP transport, offshore, EMS) is highly desirable.
Proven ability to work effectively as part of a crew.
