With our recent announcement of the purchase of four new H145 D2/3 helicopters, GCH Aviation is looking for an H145 rated helicopter pilot to join our awesome rescue helicopter operations team at our Greymouth Base on the beautiful West Coast. Our preferred applicant would be a Single Pilot IFR Helicopter Pilot.

About you:

hold a Helicopter CPL
holder of a Class 1 medical
have a Multi Engine endorsement
have a clean and clear criminal record as it pertains to obtaining an Airport Identity Card
at least 2000hrs rotary wing time as PIC
have an unrestricted Night rating with 50hrs night
H145 type rating although other similar twin engine ratings considered
have a NVG Endorsement
at least 100hrs ATO

Highly Desirable - have an IFR Rating (RW) with at least 100 hrs IFR time

Desirable but not essential are:

Helicopter ATPL
Previous HEMS experience
Previous New Zealand South Island flying experience
20hrs rotary PIC IMC
Winch endorsement
Instructor endorsement with ME
Flight examiner endorsement with ME
an unrestricted drivers licence

With bases in Christchurch, Greymouth and Nelson, the successful applicant will be required to travel from time to time to cover operations in other Bases. Our current roster is based on the Kelly Shift roster pattern and when on duty you are required to stay on the Base in Greymouth. Because the Greymouth Base is a small tight-knit team, it is essential that our successful applicant reside on the West Coast.
