UH-60 Blackhawk Mechanic I
UH-60 Blackhawk Mechanic I responsible for inspections, repairs, and maintenance of aircraft systems and subsystems. Conducts diagnostics, troubleshoots malfunctions, and performs removal and installation of components. Inspects turbine blades and utilizes AMSS for aircraft management. Proficient in reading manuals, interpreting instruments, and adhering to technical publications and regulations.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Estimated Starting Salary Range for UH-60 Blackhawk Mechanic I: $28.00 - $30.00
- Pay commensurate with experience.

UH-60 Blackhawk Mechanic I Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for performing progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar scheduled inspections according to all applicable technical publications and regulations.
- Responsible for repairs and maintenance on aircraft systems and subsystems, to include the lubrication of required components and the removal and installation of aircraft subsystems, using special tools and equipment as required.
- Completes diagnostics and troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft subsystems; maintains aircraft technical publications, historical forms, and records relative to aircraft maintenance.
- Removes and installs aircraft subsystem assemblies and components such as engines, rotors, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components
- Inspects jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks, tests engine operation
- Read and understand mechanical manuals and schematics and read and interpret all instruments.
- Utilize AMSS to manage aircraft use and operations, maintenance, and repair operations and to maintain aircraft to the Army standard
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
UH-60 Blackhawk Mechanic I Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of UH-60 Mechanic experience required
- UH-60 (15T) course graduate required
- A/P certification preferred
- Is required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable position.
- Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
