Wilson Utility Helicopters is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations related to flight request scheduling and resource coordination, drug and alcohol testing compliance. This individual will assist management to ensure all FAA and FMCSA regulations are met, manage office logistics, and facilitate smooth operations in a fast-paced environment. This position is on location in Lodi. CA. M-F with some weekend availability requirements.



Key Responsibilities:




  1. Flight and Crew Scheduling and Coordination:

    • Receive and process flight requests from clients or internal teams.
    • Enter flights into the scheduling system accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Coordinate with flight operations to ensure all necessary resources are available for each scheduled flight.


  1. Drug and Alcohol Testing Compliance:

    • Manage both FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) drug and alcohol testing programs.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and deadlines.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, ensuring compliance with record-keeping mandates.

  1. Driver Scheduling and Assignment:

    • Assign drivers to flights based on availability, qualifications, and compliance with regulations.
    • Maintain clear communication with drivers, ensuring they are aware of their schedules and any relevant details for upcoming flights.

  1. Office Supplies and Inventory Management:

    • Assist the Director of Maintenance in tracking aircraft
    • Monitor and maintain office supplies inventory.
    • Order supplies as needed, ensuring the office is adequately stocked to support day-to-day operations.

  1. Record Keeping and Compliance:

    • Ensure all records related to drug and alcohol testing, flight schedules, and driver assignments are accurately maintained.
    • Prepare for audits by ensuring that all documentation is complete and compliant with FAA and FMCSA regulations.

  1. Operational Efficiency:

    • Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational processes and enhance efficiency.
    • Collaborate with other departments to streamline scheduling, communication, and compliance efforts.

  1. Preferred Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field (preferred).
    • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in operations management, with experience in the aviation or transportation industry preferred.
    • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of FAA and FMCSA regulations, particularly regarding drug and alcohol testing programs.

  1. Skills:
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Proficiency with scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Certifications: FAA and FMCSA compliance certification (preferred but not required).
