OVERVIEW:

A Boise, Idaho-based aviation company serving customers worldwide with essential life-saving technology is seeking an NVG Instructor Pilot. This position will require domestic and international travel up to 50% of the time. This position will work with working closely with the Director of Operations & Chief Pilot to accomplish tasks & successfully accomplish the mission. This position is integral to both ASU’s flight operations and training departments and requires an out of the box thinker focused on driving the company vision. Adaptability, flexibility, and a strong ability to communicate are paramount to this position's success.Β 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Night Vision Goggle instruction in classroom and aircraft or other platform environments.
  • Assist as Subject Matter Expert in the development of curriculum for new type courses as required.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert to review existing lessons and/or changes to existing lessons.
  • Reviews and updates courses and classroom method of instruction (MOI).
  • Analyze, formulate recommendations & communicate operational requirements.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations, company documents / policies, & legislative guidelines.
  • Ensures aircraft readiness for flight dispatches, these items to include, as described in the appropriate manuals, but not limited to: All FAR requirements, company requirements, aircraft cleanliness duties.
  • Accurately completes, in entirety, all required paperwork duties within scheduled due dates.
  • Continues in educational betterment, e.g., computer training, ground training and flight training.
  • Represent ASU to clients, at networking functions, & interface with business partners;
  • Interface with FAA.
  • Spend time approximately 75% training and 25% office duties.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Qualified IAW 14 CFR 119
  • Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing CFI
  • Valid driver’s license w/ acceptable driving record
  • No accidents, incidents, or violations within the previous 5 years
  • Pass background check & drug screen

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • NVG Instructor Qualified and or minimum 100 NVG Operations with capability to be endorsed as NVG Instructor.
  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for increased productivity.
  • Superior negotiation skills in both internal and external settings.
  • Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated by previous professional success.
  • NVG Instructor or NVG PIC experience.
