Job Description:
- This position assists Helicopters Inc management with interviewing, securing, and training personnel assigned to the Northeast Region.
- Cover vacant line pilot duties when needed in assigned region and other regions/locations as needed. Provide flight training, ground instruction, and Part 135 flight check rides to pilots in Northeast Region.
- Performing orientation flights with new employees.
- Perform line pilot duties IAW GOM, to include Electronic News Gathering (ENG) and Part 135 Charter operations in the Northeast Region.
- Gain and remain current in required light Bell Helicopter aircraft, to include Bell 407 and Bell 206L4 helicopters.
- Evaluate the performance and knowledge of rotor wing pilots in accordance with FAA regulations and company policies through pilot proficiency checks as directed.
- Assist the Chief Pilot in reviewing and updating the pilot training curriculum.
- Assist in creating necessary flight documents as required of the training department.
- Performs the duties related to daily base administrative functions as directed by the Chief Pilot including routine base inspections.
- Coordinates with Company maintenance personnel and regional pilots to facilitate the timely and efficient scheduling of aircraft maintenance.
- Comply with all Company and Federal policies to ensure the safety of the employee and flight operations.
WORK SCHEDULE/LOCATION:
- Northeast Region β Based at KLDJ Linden, NJ
- 5/2 with some weekends and nights
- Candidate must live within a one-hour drive or sixty (60) miles from the base (whichever is greater) of the candidateβs residence.
Job Requirements:
- Must have excellent communication and human relation skills to build working relationships with administration and staff.
- Requires effective skills for interfacing with all levels of Heli Inc staff and outside contacts.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Previous Instructor/Check Airman experience
- 1,500 helicopter min. total time
- 500+ hrs. min. turbine time
- 5 years+ flying experience as PIC
- 3 years+ commercial, military, or government rotor-craft experience as PIC
- Must have flown commercially in the last 12 months
- Commercial & CFI License
- Local area experience required
- Bell experience preferred
- Prior ENG experience preferred
