About the role
The King’s Helicopter Flight (TKHF) consists of a small team of pilots and ground support staff who provide an exceptional helicopter travel service to Members of the Royal Family undertaking official engagements across the UK.
As an experienced multi-engine helicopter commander, you will act as either Pilot in Command or Co-Pilot. You’ll be responsible for the planning and safe execution of flights and duties in accordance with TKHF Operations Manual. When acting as Pilot in Command, you’ll be the central point of contact and will lead other TKHF personnel involved in the flight.
In addition to regular flying duties, you’ll support the Director of Flight Operations with a range of management and operational activities.
Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to live within one hour of RAF Odiham. Working five days out of seven, a flexible approach to working hours will be required to undertake flights across the UK, including occasional overnight stays.
About you
Essential Criteria:
- A valid UK ATPL (H). Applicants with a UK CPL (H) with current Instrument Rating will also be considered.
- A UK Class 1 medical and a valid UK Passport
- An AW139 type rating and Corporate/VVIP experience are highly desirable.
