Job description
This position can be full time or a 5 weeks on / 2 weeks off rotation. If on rotation, strong preference will be given to those living in the 11 continuous western states.
 
Pay: $72,000.00 - $123,000.00 per year
Benefits: Paid medical, dental, vision, annual sick paid leave, Paid Time Off (PTO), and per diem.
Location: Fort Irwin, CA
 
Position Purpose
Support the Advanced Helicopters maintenance HUB on Ft. Irwin. The HUB maintenance concept (aka: Army National Guard HUB Maintenance Augmentation Effort) supports the Lakota CLS contract managed by Airbus. Multiple HUBs are strategically located throughout the U.S. supporting National Guard Bureau (NGB) aircraft. The HUB for Ft. Irwin is geographically located on Irwin but will support aircraft as designated by NGB and the Army Product office from various locations.

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance on U.S. Army Lakota Helicopters model EC145/LUH72 only
  • Although the aircraft are in the U.S. Army inventory, they are maintained IAW FAA standards, and each mechanic will be responsible for their work. There are some DoD rule/regulations required as well
  • Work with the onsite Airbus Tech rep to process each aircraft through the maintenance HUB efficiently
  • This position reports directly to onsite management and Director of Defense Services


Required Qualifications

  • Current, valid A&P license with verifiable experience
  • Minimum 5 years' rotorcraft experience
  • Clean & valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to obtain a DOD Common Access Card (CAC) and, if needed, a Government security clearance
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and FAA regulated drug/alcohol tests prior to start
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. ​
