Main purpose is to execute shuttle flights for the ship pilot service in Rotterdam and assist in the operations in Ostend (mainly windfarms off the Belgian coast).
Responsibilities & areas
- Understanding the client’s business & needs, under the decision and supervision of the Base Manager
- Acting responsible to the pilot-in-command in assisting to conduct an efficient flight.
- Maintaining familiarity with the relevant air legislation, agreed aviation practices and local procedures.
- Maintaining familiarity with NHV’s Operations Manual, NTP’s and other related manuals, procedures and instructions for fulfilling the job.
- Responsible for the technical preparation of flights (i.e. route planning, fuel check and general inspection of the helicopter)
- Assisting the pilot-in-command when requested, with respect to administrative flight duties.
- Supporting the pilot-in-command in maintaining a proper standard of crew discipline, conduct and personal appearance.
- Carrying out flight duties, in accordance with NHV’s SOP’s, limitations and performance related to the allocated helicopter type.
- Taking care of tasks forwarded by the Base Manager to the crew.
- Leading by example and promoting a team spirit amongst colleagues.
- Respecting the code of conduct and overall behavior towards the whole NHV team, as well as respecting the ‘Drugs & Alcohol’ policy.
- Respecting the local culture and environment and adapt accordingly.
- In case of any incidents or problems with the helicopter assisting the pilot-in-command to write a report at the end of the flight
- When landing on the ship, check whether there is no obstacle
- Follow instructions of the HHO for positioning the helicopter just above the spot
- Strictly obey the safety rules taking into account the constraints and possibilities of the helicopter and the presence of colleagues.
Skills & experience
Technical requirements:
- EASA CPL(H) License
- EASA Class 1 Medical
- Valid EASA ME IR(H) rating
- ATPL(H) theory
- MCC certificate
Type rating:
- preferably BK 117D2/3 (H145)
Languages: English Proficiency Level 4, Dutch speaking/understanding is a plus
Good ICT-knowledge (specific aviation software & administrative programs)
Living in the Netherlands or Belgium or willing to relocate (not a commuting roster).
