Position Details
HeliService USA is seeking highly skilled and adaptable Flight Engineer - Rover to join our team. This role is specifically designed for mechanics who enjoy variety and are looking for a stable rotation. As a Rover, you will deploy to various operational sites to support offshore windfarm construction, maintenance, and SAR missions, ensuring our fleet of AW169 helicopters remains mission-ready.
Travel & Logistics
- Travel Requirement: Must be willing to travel extensively. You will be deployed to different locations at the start of, and throughout, each hitch.
- Paid Expenses: All travel to and from sites (flights/transportation) and all accommodations/living quarters are 100% company-paid.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform daily and periodic inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on engines and airframes as required by FAA regulations and HSUSA directives.
- Maintain the AW169 fleet to the highest standards of operational readiness for challenging offshore missions.
- Execute scheduled maintenance and unscheduled "AOG" repairs across different site locations.
- Ensure all company equipment, tools, and work environments (hangars, vehicles, and living quarters) are kept clean and organized.
- Maintain accurate aircraft logs and maintenance records in compliance with company and FAA standards.
- Collaborate with site leads and flight crews to ensure safe and efficient turnarounds.
Job Requirements
- License: Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Travel Flexibility: Must be fully committed to a travel-based role and the 14/14 rotation schedule.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to push/pull/lift and maneuver heavy equipment (up to 70 lbs) and perform maintenance in confined spaces, including climbing, balancing, kneeling, and crawling for extended periods.
- Medical: Annual “fit for duty” physical required.
- Legal: Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available).
- Safety: Must pass pre-employment drug screening in accordance with DOT/FAA regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of rotor aircraft maintenance experience.
- Type Rating: Familiarity with the Leonardo family of aircraft (AW169/AW139) is highly preferred.
- Environment: Prior experience in offshore aviation environments.
Training/Specific Activities Required:
- Complete annual training as required by company policy and law on an annual basis in a timely manner.
- Read all newsletters and bulletins to remain current on policies, procedures, and developments as well as to meet all company compliance standards.
- Employment at HeliService USA is contingent on successful completion of training and release to the line by Maintenance Management at the completion of the required line training period.
- Pre-employment drug screening must be completed and approved in accordance with DOT/FAA regulations prior to hire.

Possible Work Hazards: Exposure to loud noises, aviation related chemicals, and frequently moving objects at a high velocity.
Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling, keyboarding, speaking. Additional physical demands may be required.
