Eight Airbus Helicopters H135 helicopters are stationed with the police helicopter squadron at Munich Airport (Franz Josef Strauss) and at the Roth branch. In 2024, the squadron began replacing the H135 with the H145, one of the most modern police helicopters in the world. The transition to the new helicopter model is scheduled for completion by mid-2026. Equipped with innovative technology, such as thermal imaging cameras, the police helicopters support crime fighting, missing person searches, disaster relief operations, and the management of special traffic and operational situations.
Your tasks:
- Regular or unscheduled maintenance, modification, troubleshooting and fault finding on the helicopter, components and equipment in line/base maintenance.
- Careful and complete documentation of the work performed, including the issuance of release certificates.
- Conducting pre-flight checks
- Compliance with standards regarding cleanliness and order
- Participation in the optimization of workflows and processes in the maintenance operation
Your profile:
- Completed technical training as an aircraft mechanic (m/f/d)
- Holder (m/f/d) of the Part 66 license CAT B1.3 or willingness to acquire this license
- Preferably, knowledge of patterns on the H135 or H145.
- High level of commitment
- Strong teamwork skills
- Good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
- Knowledge of aviation-specific laws and prior experience working on aircraft.
