SLA (Swedish Air Ambulance) is a municipal association wholly owned by the regions of Värmland, Dalarna, Norrbotten and Västerbotten. SLA is responsible for the flight operations of ambulance helicopters for its members. Flight operations are conducted through either two-pilot operations or one-pilot operations with a HEMS Crew Member. The cabin is staffed with a doctor or a doctor and nurse. Operations are conducted in daylight, darkness with NVIS, VFR and IFR.
In all counties, the helicopter is fully equipped for emergency patient care. SLA also works towards borderless emergency response, meaning missions can also be carried out to neighboring regions and countries.
About us
SLA conducts both line and base maintenance in-house as it is both cost-effective and provides increased flexibility for the operation as a whole. SLA has a stated goal to work for national coordination and thereby gradually increase the number of members and the number of helicopters in need of ongoing maintenance. Today we have four operational bases with technicians who work on a rolling 7/14 schedule with readiness during evenings and weekends. Today we also have several itinerant technicians who alternate between line and base maintenance.
Job description
Are you an experienced helicopter technician who is ready for new challenges? We need to strengthen our maintenance organization with another mobile helicopter technician. In the role of mobile helicopter technician, you work with both base and line maintenance in a varied and stimulating work environment with good development opportunities. A 7/14 schedule also forms the basis for our mobile technicians.
The main location is currently Karlstad Airport where SLA has its head office and workshop as well as an operational base. The position as a mobile technician involves working at all operational bases under SLA's auspices and in our base maintenance operations at Karlstad Airport. Travel is required in the job, primarily domestically but also internationally.
Qualifications
EASA Part 66 B1.3 certified
Experience from line and base maintenance helicopter
Knowledge of Part-145 and Part-CAMO
Good knowledge of English – both spoken and written.
B driving license
As a person, you are responsible and have a developed quality and safety awareness. You enjoy working both independently and in collaboration with others and are flexible. Great importance is placed on personal suitability
Meritorious
Type rating Airbus H145 D2/D3
B2 qualification
C qualification
Good knowledge of Swedish or one of the Scandinavian languages
