Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, Aerospace Engineering, Safety or Quality Management or related field.
Strong leadership, analytical, detailed oriented, and problem-solving skills within aviation related scope.
Human Factors Training Certification (within last 2 years) is required.
Approved SMS certification highly desirable.
Certification in Investigation methods is highly desirable.

EXPERIENCE

10-12 years of experience in aviation or aerospace organization with 5-7 years in safety management leadership roles. Rotary Wing Aviation experience is a plus.
Advanced demonstrated proficiency in in aviation safety, SMS and risk management methodology.
Expert knowledge in SMS and various root cause analysis methodologies.
Experience with FAiR/MEDA is desirable.
Advanced experience developing and stewarding a “just culture” in Aviation.
Expertise interpreting and utilizing aerospace regulatory environment (e.g. FAA, EASA, ICAO etc.)
Military related Safety role is a plus.
Experience in Quality is also desirable.
Pilot experience is a plus.
