IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Aviation Life Support Equipment Technician FULL-TIME Opportunity in O'Fallon, MO
- Starting Rate: $20-$24/hour
- Monday – Friday Schedule
We're hiring an Aviation Life Support Equipment Technician responsible for inspecting, testing, repairing, and replacing equipment but is not limited to Helmets and NVG goggles utilized by employees on GMR air operators aircraft. The Aviation Life Support Equipment Technician will perform their duties and responsibilities as listed below in support of the company’s 14 CFR Part 145 Certified Repair Station.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring all company owned equipment is maintained and modified in accordance with manufacturer standards, 14 CFR regulations, and approved process and procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation and regularly update the company tracking system regarding all equipment maintenance activities and discrepancies for the Part 145 Certified Repair Station
- Takes initiative, creating, implementing, and improving procedures and processes
- Performs inspection and repair of company owned helmets and NVG goggles
- Maintain comprehensive parts inventory
- Create and track all shipping and receiving
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Chief Inspector
Minimum Required Qualifications
- High Diploma or GED equivalent
- Avionics and mechanical experience
- Must be able to obtain repairmen certificate within one year of employment.
- Demonstrates organizational, administrative, and computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams).
- Ability to interpret and effectively communicate complex technical data and processes associated with company owned equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
- One year of experience in avionics or electrical background
