Reporting to the Mechanic, Lead A/C Cert A&P, this position will work with or without supervision in performing aircraft airframe and engine inspections, repair and maintenance unassisted, on multiple types of aircraft as required by FAA regulations and PHI directives. Repair aircraft and related equipment according to manufacturer’s specifications and company directives. Perform the activities listed above, but in addition, must sign and certify on aircraft logs, RAMCO and other pertinent forms to the extent of repairs accomplished by himself/herself. Perform simple clerical duties in preparing job related documentation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations
- Responsible for understanding the current instructions of the manufacturer and the maintenance manuals and PHI specifications for work assigned (14 CFR § 65.81 (b))
- Responsible for maintaining all operating supplies, such as fuel, oil, aircraft parts, aircraft logbooks and other items necessary for the job to which you are assigned
- Reporting of AOGs and MELs to the Base Maintenance Managers, Operations Managers, and the Maintenance AOG Desk
- Log accurate tracking of time against Maintenance Tasks performed
- For applicable aircraft, perform launch, turnaround, and recovery duties as outlined in GMM-2
- Download and trend HUMS cards as required
- Additional duties as directed by the Base Maintenance Manager
- Working knowledge of RAMCO
QUALIFICATION RNQUIREMENTS
- Possess a current Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Good communication and written skills

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, knell, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
