DRF Akademie GmbH offers continuing education, training, and advanced training in the core areas of emergency medicine, flight operations and technology, as well as management and leadership development. Since 2004, DRF Luftrettung has been an Approved Training Organization (ATO), offering training courses for the acquisition of type, instructor, and instrument flight ratings for various helicopter types.
Since 2022, professional helicopter pilots have also been trained to CPL (H) with ATPL theory. This means that both student pilots and pilots at DRF Akademie GmbH can benefit from DRF Luftrettung's extensive expertise and 50 years of experience in HEMS operations.
